Updates about Emma

Emma will be turning 2 in about a week.
She's been talking really well. Except she says things a little bit differently than we do. This is intentional. (In most cases)

Here are some examples:

Dad : Dad-O
Mom : Mom-O
Kyle : Ky-O
Luke : Yuke
Cat : Meow
Dog : Rurr-Rurr-Rurr (Dog Bark)
Bird : Teet-Teet
Car : Bye-Bye
Mimi : Mimi
Nana : Nana
Papa Freeman : Dat
Milk : Milk
Pop : Milk
Juice : Milk

One of the things she does is say, "We-O, We-O, We-O, We-O, We-O, We-O."
She does this because it makes me laugh. So, sometimes I say, "Emma, We-O" to make her do it.
But sometimes she just says, "No We-O, Dad-O!" which makes me laugh even more.

Here's my latest video of her : www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBYTrVqkvck

Update 2-18-2009

Well, right now I'm still working at Conocophillips.
Some people aren't so sure about their job but they're actually going to keep putting money in my area. Great news.

Mecca and I are trying get our house ready to sell because it's time for an upgrade. Emma is around 21 months old and is talking a little. She's hilarious! But with those two older brothers, she had no choice.

Luke is a sixth grader taking guitar lessons and learning Chinese in school. Kyle is in third grade and got accepted in the gifted and talented program. He can't wait for football season to start up again. Both boys are getting pretty big into skateboarding. No accidents yet, knock on wood. Other than that, my brother and his wife just had another baby. A girl named Madelyn Jane. 6 lbs 8 oz.

That's all I have right now. See you in six months....if you're lucky.

Late.

Updates about me.

I am currently still working full time at Medical Park Center Pharmacy in Bartlesville. I will soon be starting back full time at college. The classes are online so I'll be able to do them at home on my IMac.

I'm coaching Kyle's 3rd grade tackle football team: The Bruins. Kyle right now is the starting tight end and starting Linebacker. The kid is built just like I was but without the flab. He's sprouting up like a weed.
Luke is rocking out on his guitar. He is learning so fast and doing it at a faster pace than I ever did. I learned how to read tabs, but he can actually read the notes which will translate well into other instruments. I'd like to get him on the piano as well. He's also Middle School bound in a couple weeks.
Emma Grace finally had another tooth break through yesterday, so the count is up to 3 teeth. She did everything else early, but no matter how smart she is, that isn't going to make her closer to eating apples.

I'm also going to start refereeing high school football games on Friday nights. I'll be the Umpire which is the official who hovers around the Linebackers. It's also the one who gets the football thrown into his crotch on the movies. (IE: The Longest Yard, etc.) So, I'll be looking alive!

I'll be pretty busy this fall, but I think we'll all be able to hack it. Even though we're also going to be trying to get our house on the market and have one built over by Wayside school. But that seems like it's going to be a little bit down the road.
